Desert Tracks Part 1: From the Gibson to the Simpson
SERIPHILE: noun [ C ] /ˈsɛrɪ.(f)ʌɪl/ : A lover of dry and arid regions.
If like us, you dream about the desert, take a ride with us from The Gibson Desert towards the Madigan Line. We hope this will give you a bit of historical information on The Madigan Line, and a bit of what to expect in the desert (though there'll be much more of that in the next video when we drive the track itself) and inspire you to love these dry, hot, wide open spaces as much as we do. Here, we leave The Canning Stock Route at Well 33 Kunawarritji, and follow The Gary Junction Track through Kintore, down the Sandy Blight Junction track (more from that track where we fixed our Exhaust mount bracket here), to Uluru and Alice Springs, and on through the Plenty Highway and the Hay River Track which intersects with the Madigan Line. With the greatest of thanks to the incomparable Brendan Jellie for his voice over. You are a scholar and a gentleman, and we owe you many fine single malts.
